Add the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the warm milk, mix, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
To the flour, add sugar, salt, eggs, melted butter, and the yeast mixture. Knead the dough until it becomes soft and smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1–1.5 hours, until it doubles in size.
Preparing the filling:
Mix the softened butter with sugar and cinnamon.
Rolling and shaping:
Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle. Evenly spread the filling over it. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 4–5 cm wide pieces.
Baking:
Place the cinnamon rolls in a baking dish lined with parchment paper and let them rise again for 20 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes.
Preparing the glaze:
Beat the softened butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Final step:
Spread the glaze over the cinnamon rolls while they are still warm.
